Our day-to-day operations are overseen and managed by an elected church board that also serves as our legal representative. The Board holds the responsibility for maintaining the vision and strategic direction of the church. It may act for the Church between meetings of the Congregation, always assuming that unless such action is taken with practical unanimity, it must have the confirmation of the Church membership. The Board makes sure the lights are on, the bills paid and the furnace runs. The Chair of the Board is called the Moderator and s/he moderates Congregational meetings and chairs monthly Board meetings where the non-religious work of the church is accomplished.
